Symptoms

When configuring FlexiCapture 12 to use a PostgreSQL DB, the issue occurs, indicating that the password is incorrect.

Cause

There is a known issue with PostgreSQL and ABBYY FlexiCapture where the basic authentication can't be used when specific DLL files aren't added to the IIS folder.

Resolution

On the Application Server, please unpack the archive in the attachment to the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\FlexiCapture12\Server. It contains a bin directory with the missing assemblies.

After that, you should have the following files:

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\FlexiCapture12\Server\bin\System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe.dll

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\FlexiCapture12\Server\bin\System.Threading.Tasks.Extensions.dll
