What does it mean if a batch stays on Waiting status in Administration and Monitoring Console?

Answer

Waiting status means that images are waiting to be scanned. More likely it happens because none of the Processing Stations are running. It can be checked in Processing Monitor.

In addition, make sure that all Processing Stations has the import task option enabled:
