Is it possible to update software components to a newer build but use them with the License Server of the older build? Is it possible to run different build versions?

Answer

FlexiCapture requires all the components to be of the same version/build number in the environment, both server-side as well as the client-side.

It is not recommended to update only specific components of FlexiCapture and use them with the older version of License Server.

There might be exceptions between versions with minor differences where it still may work, but generally, it is not a supported configuration where components of different versions interact with each other. In case it has been working for some time it was rather luck than an expected and supported behavior.
