Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Types' warning during report generation in FlexiCapture 12

Symptoms

The below warning message appears when creating a report in the Administration and Monitoring Console:

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Types, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies.

Cause

There are components required for this feature to work.

Resolution

  1. Download and install Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53164 (choose ENU\x64\SQLSysClrTypes.msi from the list)
  2. Download and install Microsoft Report Viewer 2015 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45496
  3. Reboot the server with the FlexiCapture 12.
