"HTTP Error 500.24" when opening Administartion&Monitoring Console.

Symptoms

After FlexiCapture 12 Application Server is installed, attempt to open Administration & Monitoring Console fails with error: 

HTTP Error 500.24 - Internal Server Error

Cause

One of possible reasons to such behavior is incompatible ASP.NET settings being used at Default Web Site.

Note. HTTP Error 500.24 - Internal Server Error
An ASP.NET setting has been detected that does not apply in Integrated managed pipeline mode.
Most likely causes:
•system.web/identity@impersonate is set to true.

Resolution

Disable ASP.NET Impersonation in IIS settings:

  •  In IIS Manager, open Configuration Editor:

  • Go to system.web/identyty node
    mceclip1.png
  • Set Impersonate property to False
    mceclip2.png
