Symptoms

Error on starting Project Setup Station:

Personal user path is not accessible. Use 'HKCU\Software\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Shell\Startup\PersonalPath' registry key to specify alternate path.

Cause

Registry key HKCU\Software\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Shell\StarTup\PersonalPath does not exist.

Resolution

  • Go to the Registry Key Editor.
  • Follow the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Shell\StartUp\
  • Create PersonalPath string there, and specify some user's folder as a value (i.e. C:\Users\<userName>\Documents)
