I'm trying to install FineReader Server 14 on a workstation with Windows 10 Enterprise, protected by McAfee and Carbon Black. I have admin rights for my machine, and I run the latest version of the installer, FRS14_R4_U1_P1_1340.36_14.0.4.680_x64.exe, as admin.

Here is what I tried to solve the problem based on those articles:
- Manually deleting ABBYY folders in ProgramData, Program Files, Temp and Users after every installation attempt.
- Manually cleaning the registry after every installation attempt.
- Completely disabling Windows Firewall.
- Unchecking everything I could in McAfee (I can't completely disable it nor Carbon Black).
- Whitelisting ABBYY folders and processes in McAfee.
- Adding permissions to admin & all authorised users to log on as a service.
- Cleaning cache.
- Killing every non-system process I could in the Task manager before starting installation.
- Unchecking API, Support for Office File Formats, SharePoint support and "Let ABBYY FRS through Windows Firewall" during installation
The combination of all of the above doesn't change anything. I tried it on another machine with Windows 11 Pro, and the error log is the same.
